http://www.packwise.de is an Internet offer (hereinafter referred to as the „Website“) of Packwise GmbH, Bayrische Str. 8, 01069 Dresden, which is also a processing authority within the meaning of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG) or, as of 25 May 2018, the EU Data Protection Basic Regulation (DS-GVO) (hereinafter referred to as the „Operator“). A. General information
The user can visit the website without providing any personal information. The operator only stores access data in so-called server log files, such as the name of the requested file, date and time of retrieval, transferred data volume and the requesting provider. This data is evaluated exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the website and to improve our services and does not allow the operator to draw any conclusions about the person of the user.
The operator collects, processes and uses personal data exclusively in accordance with the applicable statutory provisions. Personal data is defined as all information provided by the user on the website of the operator and which allows conclusions to be drawn about the identity of the user, as well as all other individual information about personal or factual circumstances of a specific or identifiable natural person.
When the user visits the website, the operator collects and processes personal data in two ways:
Data provided by the user himself, namely during registration and participation in auctions (see B.), and
Data collected and processed by automated procedures (see C.).
B. Information on registration and participation in auctions
In order to participate in auctions of the operator, it is necessary that the user registers by setting up an account and providing some information, which will subsequently be processed to the extent necessary for the conduct and handling of the auction. The user can access his account at any time with his user name and password and view and change the data stored there. Insofar as it is necessary for the establishment, execution or termination of a legal or similar contractual obligation, the information provided by the user may also be stored and used in the account without the user’s consent.
Only a registered user can view the current auctions of the operator. When registering, the following information is collected, which is required for creating an account:

In order to participate in auctions (as a provider or bidder), it is necessary to complete the user profile. The user has the possibility to complete the required information at any time on the website. The following additional information is required to participate in auctions:
Value added tax ID
This information, with the exception of the password, will hereinafter be referred to as „master data“ together with the information provided during registration.
Master data of the provider of a current or past auction will not be displayed to other users. In order to indicate the approximate location of the products, the first three digits of the postal code of the collection location are displayed in the auction for all users to see.
In addition, when setting up his auction, the Vendor may provide further information on the transaction, such as contact persons, e-mail addresses, telephone and fax numbers as well as other contact options.
If an auction ends due to a knockdown, the bidder who received the knockdown will be informed of the bidder’s master data and any other information provided by the bidder.
During an auction, the master data of a bidder remain hidden from all users (including the bidder of the auction in which the bidder participates). All bidders are assigned a pseudonym, which is different for each auction, so that it is not possible for other users to track the bidding behaviour of a particular bidder beyond a particular auction.
If an auction ends with a knockdown, the master data of the bidder who received the knockdown will be transmitted to the bidder.
The collection and transmission of master data described above under B. 1. and 2. is necessary for the fulfilment of a contract to which the user is a contracting party or for the implementation of pre-contractual measures which take place at the user’s request.
The operator also collects personal data which the user voluntarily provides when contacting the operator (e.g. via contact form or e-mail). The user refrains from disclosing sensitive data to the operator. Sensitive data includes personal data revealing racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs or trade union membership, genetic data, biometric data for the unambiguous identification of a natural person, health data and data relating to sex life or sexual orientation. These data are collected on the basis of the user’s consent, which he can revoke at any time with effect for the future without giving reasons to the operator.
C. Automated procedures: Cookies and similar technologies
The operator uses the following services:
1. Google Analytics
Google will use this information on behalf of the operator in order to evaluate the use of the website by the users, to compile reports on the activities within the website and to provide the operator with further services related to the use of the website and the Internet. Pseudonymous user profiles can be created from the processed data.
The operator uses Google Analytics only with activated IP anonymisation. This means that the IP address of the user is shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. The IP address transmitted by the user’s browser is not merged with other Google data.

2. Google AdSense
The website uses Google AdSense, an online advertising service from Google. In addition to cookies, Google AdSense also uses so-called web beacons (invisible graphics). Through these web beacons, information such as visitor traffic on the pages of this offer can be evaluated. The information generated by cookies and web beacons about the use of this website (including the user’s IP address) and the delivery of advertising formats is transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. This information can be passed on by Google to Google’s contractual partners. However, Google will not combine the IP address of a user with other data stored about this user.

By deactivating the interest-related ads on Google, or
by deactivating the interest-related advertisements of the providers which are part of the self-regulatory campaign „About Ads“.
These settings are reset when cookies are deleted from the browser settings.
3. Google Remarketing
This website uses Google’s remarketing function. This function is used to present interest-related advertisements to a user of the website as part of the Google advertising network. The user’s browser stores cookies for this purpose, which make it possible to recognise the user when he or she visits websites that belong to the Google advertising network. These pages may then be used to present advertisements to the user that relate to content previously viewed by the user on websites that use Google’s remarketing feature. The user can deactivate Google’s remarketing function by making the appropriate settings here at http://www.google.com/settings/ads . 4. Google AdWords Conversion Tracking
IP address (collected and stored anonymously);
E-mail address including first and last name, if provided by the User to the Operator through the Website;
Screen size of the User’s device;
Device type and browser information;
Geographical position (country only);

Date and time when the website was accessed.
Hotjar uses this information to track and evaluate the activities of users on this website, to generate usage reports, and to provide other services related to the use and Internet evaluation of the website. Hotjar also uses third-party services such as Google Analytics and Optimizely to provide services. These third party companies may store information that the user’s browser sends during a visit to the website, such as cookies or IP requests. The cookies used by Hotjar may be stored by the user for up to 365 days, while some cookies may only be valid during the user’s current visit. E. Data Security
The operator takes state-of-the-art technical and organizational measures to protect the collected data, in particular against unintentional or intentional manipulation, loss, destruction or access by unauthorized persons.
F. Contact and user rights
The user can contact the operator by sending an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org .
The user has the right to request information from the operator about the personal data stored about him. The User may also receive the data provided to the Operator in a structured, common and machine-readable format or request that the Operator transmit this data to a third party. If the user discovers that data stored on his person is incorrect or incomplete, he can demand the immediate correction or completion of this data at any time. Under the conditions set out in Articles 17 and 18 of the DS Block Exemption Regulation, the deletion or limitation of the processing of personal data may also be requested. G. Right of appeal
The user has the right to contact the responsible data protection authority with any complaints regarding data protection.
